Julia, a paralegal at Osterbind Law, works quickly and efficiently to assist all the attorneys and staff to continuously move our cases forward. She drafts orders, discovery documents, and any other documents needed. Julia also communicates between opposing counsel and the attorneys at Osterbind Law to free up their time to work on their cases.
Julia grew up in Pennsylvania in a very tight-knit family. She started working as soon as the law allowed her to, demonstrating a strong work ethic that has only grown over the years. Through high school and even through college, she worked as a server and volunteered at her church and a local summer camp.
Julia decided to enroll in Liberty University mainly because both of her parents had previously graduated from the university. At the start, she was very unsure of which direction her education would take her. Cautiously, she became a Psychology major with the intent of becoming a counselor. She knew that she wanted to help people with her degree, and this seemed the best way. As she continued, she found her passion for learning about people and the circumstances behind their behaviors. Once she graduated with her bachelor’s degree, she enrolled in Liberty’s master’s degree program in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. This focuses on the business side of psychology, mainly employment, research, and assessments. Julia brings a very unique view into Osterbind Law that offers insight into the people we work with and into Osterbind Law as a business.
When first applying for a position at Osterbind Law, Julia was mainly looking for a place to further her experience. It was clear to Julia that Osterbind Law held the same passion for helping people as she did and would be the perfect place to work. However, it soon became clear that this job was so much more than that. Julia started in the Client Relations Specialist position and worked her way into the paralegal position. She works with focused and involved attorneys who taught her about the litigation process and how to effectively work with the law to help their clients. Julia used her past experiences as a church volunteer and a server to work with and relate to potential and current clients. Now she is working hard in her current position as her passion for the law continues to grow.
Outside of Osterbind Law, Julia is always ready to try new things and go on spontaneous adventures. She comes from a family that is very close to each other despite their physical distance. Julia enjoys hiking or basically anything that involves being outside. She enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. Julia also likes to read and continues to grow her knowledge.
