Sydney Donnigan is often the first voice new clients hear when they contact Osterbind Law—and that first impression matters.
As an Intake Legal Assistant, Sydney helps people who are in crisis feel seen, heard, and supported from the moment they reach out. Whether she’s guiding someone through their initial paperwork or gathering key facts about a case, Sydney brings compassion, clarity, and professionalism to every call.
She joined the Osterbind Law team in 2025 after building her skills in fast-paced customer service and administrative roles. Sydney’s background includes front-facing positions at Divine Destiny Salon, Target, Chili’s, and Journeys—where she learned how to manage high volumes, resolve complex issues, and respond to people with warmth and empathy.
Her work has always focused on listening, solving problems, and helping others, which made the transition into personal injury law a natural next step.
Though her original college path led her to study Multimedia Journalism at Virginia Tech, Sydney quickly realized she wanted to do something more hands-on. Something more personal. She shifted gears and found a calling in legal support work, where she could combine her strengths in communication, organization, and human connection. She now brings all those gifts to the intake side of personal injury and disability law.
Role at Osterbind Law
Sydney’s work begins the moment someone contacts the firm. She handles client intake from start to finish—gathering documents, updating case files, sending out required notices, and ensuring that every case begins on a solid foundation. Her job is to keep new cases moving, and her attention to detail ensures that no step is missed.
Her core responsibilities include:
- Completing initial client intake and uploading all necessary documentation
- Updating case files in our case management system, MyCase
- Sending letters of representation, preservation, and notices of claim
- Initiating FOIA and DMV requests to secure critical early evidence
- Following up on missing or incomplete information
- Maintaining detailed documentation in daily reports and task notes
- Proactively communicating with attorneys, paralegals, and clients
Sydney also plays a key role in maintaining Osterbind Law’s standard of responsiveness. She tracks deadlines, completes tasks promptly, and follows the firm’s communication policy with precision. Clients quickly learn they can depend on her, and the team does too.
Why She’s an Asset to Our Team
Sydney is driven by purpose. She wants every client to feel like they’ve come to the right place—and she works hard to make sure they do. Her ability to adapt quickly, stay organized, and juggle multiple cases at once makes her an anchor on the intake side of the firm.
She’s also invested in learning. She asks questions, takes feedback seriously, and actively looks for ways to grow in her role. With her calm demeanor and intuitive sense of people, Sydney helps clients feel supported during some of the hardest moments of their lives.
Outside the Office
When she’s not helping new clients get started, Sydney loves creating and enjoying art in all its forms. She reads, writes poetry, sings, and finds inspiration in quiet moments. Her creative side brings both depth and empathy to her work.
Sydney is excited about her future at Osterbind Law. She sees this as more than a job—it’s a way to help people find direction and hope when life feels out of control. And for many clients, she’s the first person to point them back toward solid ground.
