If you were injured in a car accident, you absolutely should go to the doctor. A lot of people think “Well, it’s not that bad, I’ll get over it”, or, “ it’s just some soreness.” But, it’s very important to document your injuries at the very beginning to make sure that you can prove to the insurance company later on, and ultimately you can prove to a jury, that you’re not making this stuff up.
So if you’re feeling soreness in your neck or in your back or in your shoulder or in a knee or wherever it is you might be feeling soreness or any discomfort or pain. It’s important to get it checked out, because if you don’t get it checked out, the insurance company’s going to accuse you later about lying about it. Or concocting some plan to make a claim on the insurance company to get money.
Those stereotypes that are out there that big corporate America puts on the average everyday person are not true. My experience with people is that if they come to me with an injury, they’re not feeling well after a car accident or something like that. It’s because they’re legitimately affected by the car accident. I don’t deal with people for the most part who are out to get a quick dollar. If I do sense that I send them somewhere else, because we don’t do that type of work at Osterbind Law. We only help people who are legitimately injured. And if you are legitimately injured after a car accident, the most important thing that you can do, not just for your case, but for your health, is to go see a doctor and find out what treatment can I do in order to get better.
