We are growing and looking for an experienced ERISA Paralegal or Case Manager to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to become a key player in a firm that’s built on being Invested, Driven, and Courageous.
Your Role
As an ERISA Paralegal / Case Manager, you will take primary responsibility for managing ERISA long-term disability appeals and litigation cases from intake through resolution. You will support our attorneys by organizing medical and vocational evidence, drafting appeal letters and litigation filings, and ensuring that each client feels heard, informed, and confident throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for ERISA disability clients
- Review claim files, denial letters, and administrative records
- Gather, organize, and summarize medical records, employment files, claim files, and insurance plan documents
- Draft administrative appeals, litigation discovery, and other court documents under attorney supervision
- Maintain accurate, timely notes and documentation in our case management system (MyCase)
- Track deadlines and ensure timely submission of appeals and evidence
- Communicate regularly with clients, doctors’ offices, and insurance companies
- Support attorneys with federal court filings and trial preparation
- Collaborate with team members to improve workflows and client outcomes
What You Bring
- At least 2 years of experience in ERISA disability, Social Security disability, or similar experience (preferred)
- Strong understanding of ERISA administrative appeal process and federal litigation procedure (preferred)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PDF documents, and cloud-based case management software
